In a sleek superhero suit, actor Dwayne Johnson made a stunning entry at the annual Comic-Con pop culture event on Saturday, declaring that "the DC Universe will never be the same" as he hovered over a smoke-filled stage.

Johnson gave a sneak peek at his upcoming Warner Bros. movie, "Black Adam," which is based on the DC Comics character of the same name who awakens 5,000 years later in the current era.

More than 6,000 supporters had received flickering lights at a convention centre in San Diego that were intended to resemble lightning before his entrance.

The actor, who is portraying the anti-hero for the first time, claimed he had been wanting to perform the part for more than ten years. In October, the movie will have its theatrical release.

It has been a protracted journey that has been fuelled by perseverance, passion, and determination, according to Johnson.

Having collaborated with Johnson on the action-adventure movie "Jungle Cruise" last year, director Jaume Collet-Serra described Black Adam as a "Dirty Harry type of character" with "his own sense of justice and mortality."

Collet-Serra remarked, "When the system is corrupt, sometimes you need somebody that breaks the system down.

The Justice Society of America, which features the personalities of Hawkman (Aldis Hodge), Atom Smasher (Noah Centineo), Cyclone (Quintessa Swindell), and Dr. Fate, will also be introduced in the movie (Pierce Brosnan). Reuters
